Remarkables Retreat

Positive: New building Negative: Location. It is 22km from Queenstown and can take an hour to get into the city centre. Be careful when you use booking.com as there are other accommodation with similar name. We thought our accommodation was only 5km out.

Positive: Appartment was new, clean and pleasant, though small. Negative: We never met or spoke to the owners A neighbour contacted the owner to find the key and get us into the property. Whilst the apartment was very nice, it was not well designed from a practical point of view or properly equipped as a place for short breaks. There were no instructions to tell you how to work the appliances. We had to google user instructions. There was a dishwasher but only 3 cups in total so using the dishwasher was very inefficient. There was no draining board to dry pots washed by hand. The microwave was just below the ceiling. I am 6 ft tall and could only just reach it. We were surrounded by a building site with adjacent properties still under construction. It was advertised as being in Queenstown but was 16 Km from Queenstown.

Positive: Everything was clean & tidy! All the enmities were available, staff were lovely.

Amazing! Positive: Great location with excellent views and a short ride to and from the airport. The accommodation was cozy, well-equipped, and the bed was very comfortable. Negative: Parking was an ongoing issue, as vehicles were often parked very close to the driveway, which made accessing and exiting the property quite difficult at times. This required extra care when coming and going and was occasionally inconvenient.

Positive: Bathroom was clean. Negative: Unfortunately the bed is very uncomfortable being 2 single mattresses together. Onsite parking is poorly designed. Bllind remote by the main entrance was missing, asked why and was told it's faulty. Otherwise okay.
