Hanley’s Farm Hidden Gem

Positive: Spacious accommodation for our 5 night stay. Clean and comfortable. It’s a short drive from Queenstown centre, which suited us perfectly. It was very handy having a kitchen with full cooking facilities and a washer and dryer. Amazing views of The Remarkables.

Very solid choice Positive: Wszystko czego potrzebowaliśmy było w mieszkaniu, w tym pralka i suszarka do ubrań. Brak większych zastrzeżeń. Standard na poziomie solidnego 4**** hotelu w Europie. Negative: W Jack's Point nie ma sklepów spożywczych i efektywnie jest tylko jeden bar/restauracja. Podwórze naszego obiektu nie jest zbyt imponujące (mały ogródek otoczony wysokim płotem z ograniczonym widokiem na góry).

Disappointing Positive: The property is fine, and suited our needs, however the experience with the owners and booking.com after our stay has been absolutely terrible. Negative: The property falsely advertised it has a hot tub. I raised this with them when we got there. They responded saying it had been removed with no apology as to why we hadn’t been informed prior to staying there. As we had chosen this property over one that was $100 cheaper specifically for the hot tub, I requested we be refunded the $100 difference, which they refused. They offered us $50, which was really just an attempt to make their mistake go away. Booking.com have been terrible with communicating and handling my complaint. We stayed there at the beginning of August and it’s now October, with no update or resolution in sight. By allowing these individual actors to advertise on their app, without holding them to full account, they’ve lost a loyal customer of 20 years.

Positive: Very clean. Very nice amenities. More space than expected. Negative: N/a

The location was perfect for us as we had family living just around the corner. Positive: Easy walking distance to a great local cafe and stunning views. Negative: A coffee plunger would be more useful as there was a grinder available.
